The rebars are conforming to BS 4449:2005 standard, grade B500B. These rebars also meet the requirements of GSO-ISO 6935-2:2012, SASO ASTM A615M/2021 standards.
Bars carrying both CARES and DCL marks are produced based on specific customer requirements. Low carbon content, good weldability, higher yield strength, tensile strength, and percentage elongation are the prime advantages of Sohar Steel’s rebars.
In Future, Sohar Steel will come up with a Wire Rod Mill of Capacity 500,000 tons per annum with a product mix of 5.5 mm to 16 mm and Rebar in coil form with the product mix of 8mm to 16 mm.
